Carrie, the Caracal

"Carrie", simplistically named to aid children in specie name recall, was our house cat. She was imported from Africa and was first generation captive bred. Both her parents were wild caught. She was micro chipped and registered with the Endangered Species Conservation Federation (E.S.C.F.)  She made herself at home in our bed, on the shelves or under our feet.

Carrie and Judah were cubs in the house together. In this photo shot Carrie looks like she is saying, "You are going to put him by ME!"

But in the quiet time when Judah was asleep, Carrie would give him a bath by licking him all over.

Carrie loved sleeping with Noel.

Carrie died in September, 2002, of a rare brain disease.

We certainly miss her.
